Aerobic exercise at an intensity consistent with public health recommendations can be regarded as an effective treatment of mild and moderate MDD (The Journal of Neuropsychobiology, 2008).
Regular exercise such as resistance, flexibility, and balance exercises can also reduce depressive symptoms. Regular aerobic exercise can reduce anxiety by making your brain’s “fight or flight” system less reactive. (Harvard Health Publishing, 2016).
